The Bill Dunn and Laura Triffitt 400m Memorial Handicap races were held on January 19th and proved to be a highly successful night. Heats were keenly contested in both the men’s and women’s events, making for two very even Finals.
In the men’s final, it appeared for a brief moment that club veteran, Chris French, may take out his first Bill Dunn Title. However, Chris’ legs don’t move as quickly as they used to and it looked like youngster David Sutton would win the race for the second year in a row. But Tom Bills had other ideas and he swept past to win in an excellent time of 50.73 seconds.
Thankyou to all who athletes and parents who supported the event and assisted
in its organisation.
