Laura Triffitt 400m Handicap 1994
The Laura Triffitt (Women) Memorial 400m Handicap races were held on the 16th
of December. The women’s race was well supported, particularly by the
“Mazey’s squad” and two heats were required, making a close
final. Handicapper, Paul Aiken did such a good job that it was almost impossible
to pick a winner 50m from home. Indeed, the judges had a hard time sorting out
the three place getters who were separated by just over a second. Lauren Wells
off three seconds recorded a time of 65.95 to hold off a fast finishing Emily
Bell (5 sec) and lisa Burton (0 Sec), who both recorded a time of 67.02 seconds.
