The 2002 Laura Triffett 400m handicap
race was held on Tuesday 12th March at the Domain Athletic Centre.
In a reflection on the lack of depth of female athletes in the Club at the moment, Cassandra Smith was the only entrant in the Laura Triffett Memorial race. Cassandra competed in Heat One of the men’s event and running from the front mark, proved herself a worthy winner by taking out the race in a time of 66.80 seconds.
